CRN of Northern California, Northern Nevada
is an affiliate of the National Kidney Foundation. We are a non-profit
organization devoted to improving the care of patients with kidney disease.
Our membership is comprised mostly of renal dietitians who work in dialysis
centers, hospitals, transplant centers and doctors offices. Also included
in our membership are professionals who provide products and services
to kidney patients.
The goal of our organization to promote the well being
of people with kidney disease. There are several ways in which we acheive
this goal.
- CRN provides
continuing education to healthcare professionals through meetings,
events and symposiums.
- CRN donates
funds to the National Kidney Foundation of Northern California to
help provide nutritional supplements to patients with kidney disease.
- CRN donates
funds to the National Kidney Foundation to help send athletes to the
Transplant Games.
- CRN donates
funds to the National Kidney Foundation to help send children on dialysis
to summer camp.
- CRN members
donate their time to the renal community by serving on the Board of
Directors for NKF of Northern California, the ESRD Network, the NKF
Patient Services Committee as well as other committees devoted to
people with kidney disease.
- CRN provides
educational grants to its members in order to improve their knowledge
of the treatment of people with kidney disease.
- CRN members
donate their time to provide education to the community on the causes,
prevention and treatment of kidney disease.
- CRN members
donate their time to fund raising activities of NKF of Northern California.
- CRN develops
educational materials to teach patients how to modify their dietary
intake to optimize their health and sense of well being.
- CRN develops
educational materials to teach dietitians and other health care professionals
how to help people with kidney disease.
